A business consultant who has run the operations he advises on.
I am Adnan Shafiq, a business consultant with 24+ years of running companies, not only advising them. I help owner-led and scaling businesses fix how they operate, grow sales, and put AI and automation to work where it pays. The work is specific and measurable: a written diagnosis, a plan with owners and dates, and me doing the work with your team, not describing it.
Why companies call me
The six problems I get called about.
Everything depends on the owner
SOPs written with your team, KPIs they update weekly, and a management rhythm that lets you step back. SOP & KPI systems →
Sales that depend on one or two people
Pipeline, follow-up discipline and proposals your whole team can run.
Leads and customer messages lost in chat
Assistants that log, acknowledge, assign and escalate every enquiry. AI agent development →
Online sales that do not convert or deliver
Store operations, fulfilment, returns and customer service, from years inside delivery platforms and e-commerce.
Growth that outran the systems
When the business has doubled and the way it runs has not. Business transformation →
Need a senior operator, not yet a full-time one
Two or three days a week owning operations, KPIs and hiring. Fractional COO →
Owner-led businesses of roughly 10 to 200 people.
Businesses that make money but run on the owner’s memory: manufacturers, distributors, retailers, service companies, software houses and e-commerce brands.
- Family businesses professionalising for the next generation
- Founders who raised money and now need reporting, KPIs and a plan investors trust
- Service companies whose leads and complaints leak
- E-commerce sellers scaling past what the founder can personally handle
- Companies that want AI that pays for itself, not an AI project
Four steps, no surprises.
Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call and a written quote for a fixed scope.
- Listen and diagnose. A short written diagnosis of where time and money leak.
- Fix the biggest leaks first. The three that matter most, with owners and dates.
- Install the rhythm. SOPs, KPIs and a weekly review your managers run without me.
- Hand over. The business keeps running. I stay available as needed.
What this advice is built on.
Everything here comes from roles I have held and companies I have run.
- Founder, Eye AI by Israintech (2026 to now): AI video analytics that turns the CCTV cameras a site already owns into a 24/7 watcher.
- Co-founder, CEO & Managing Partner, Isra Innovative Technologies (2016 to now): 700+ projects delivered.
- Project director, then operations director, e-commerce, Petsmarket, Kuwait (2022 to 2026).
- Operations manager, Delivery Hero Middle East (2014 to 2016): led 45+ contact-centre advisors.
- Country manager, UAE, Talabat (2013 to 2014): team of 17.
- Completed an executive programme at LUMS.
Other ways I can help.
Before you reach out.
What can a business consultant do for a small business?
Find where the business leaks time and money, fix the three biggest leaks, and leave behind a way of running (SOPs, KPIs, a weekly rhythm) that works without the owner in every decision. The useful work is specific and measurable, not a motivational workshop.
What is the difference between a business consultant and a management consultant?
The terms overlap. A management consultant often advises large organisations from the outside; I work with owner-led and scaling companies and stay until the change is running, including building the tools where needed.
How do you charge?
After a free 30-minute call you receive a written quote for a fixed-scope project, or a monthly arrangement for fractional COO work. No hourly billing.
Can you build the automation or AI, not just recommend it?
Yes. I build and run these systems myself and set them up for clients.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. Most work is remote, with working sessions on site when they add value.
Do you handle company registration, tax or legal work?
No. I work with businesses that already exist and need to run better, and can refer you to good accountants and lawyers.
Tell me what keeps landing on your desk.
Two or three lines are enough. You will get a personal reply within one business day and a free 30-minute call.
